This site is in the Hooker-Landsborough Wilderness Area and is open year round for foot access.

Access information

Helicopter access: Restricted to the designated landing site only during ballot period.

Road access point: Karangarua or Landsborough.
Foot access: Very difficult, from Kea Flat one long day.

Nice, sheltered campsite under the trees. Limited tent space. Access around block pretty good although upper slopes very steep. Suitable for parties of 4. River/creek water supply.

No huts in this area.
