Details: A truckload of pig and deer sign has been seen in the Doubtful Valley ( https://www.doc.govt.nz/…/doubtful-valley-tracks-and…/) recently. Peter Freestone has volunteered to lead a Club Hunt into the area. Plan is to drive up on the afternoon/evening of Friday 22d of September and stay at Palmer Lodge. Party will be dropped off at Doubtful Valley entry point on morning of Saturday 23rd and stay overnight in the valley. The two bunk Doubtful Hut (https://www.doc.govt.nz/…/things-to-do/huts/doubtful-hut/) is in the area but party members will require tents if the hut is occupied or if they wish to overnight in other areas. Party will be picked up on afternoon of Sunday 24th September. Spots on the trip will be allocated on a first come first serve basis so get in quick by contacting Peter Freestone if you wish to go on the trip.

Required Gear: Minimum recommendations for every Hunt is Personal Location Beacon (PLB), GPS, Map, Compass, and a suitable form of communication.
Staying at Palmer Lodge on evening of Friday 22nd September. Tent required for evening of Saturday 23rd September.
